Wedding DJs - Music On The Dance Floor

Music makes your wedding memorable and enjoyable. It is important that you hire true professionals for your wedding. It depends upon your budget. You have different choices; either you can select a band or a wedding DJ. But wedding DJ is more preferable than musicians as it costs less and moreover it gives you more joy as compare to the wedding band. Once you have decided to select a wedding DJ, now you can tell him your needs and requirements. You can make a list of all the songs you want him to play at your wedding. Of course, make sure to leave much of the music selection to your DJ, as he will have to "read the crowd".

Select the wedding music that is suitable for all age groups. Everybody on your wedding should enjoy. Tell your wedding DJ to mix a variety of popular songs. The older people that have come to attend your wedding should have something to enjoy.

Wedding Music

Select a suitable place for your DJ before he arrives. A suitable place where he can easily arrange his equipment is necessary to work freely. The speakers should be placed at a proper place so that its sound should not disturb your guests. The speakers should be away from the tables for your guests and as close to the dance floor as possible.

Wedding DJs - Music On The Dance Floor

The music should not be too loud as it may disturb the older and youngest people at your party. The music played should be smooth and soothing to all the guests. A wedding DJ should provide variety in the music so that your guests are interested in the party. Playing of same music again and again will bore your guests.

Tell your DJ to keep a request list with him so that he is able to play the music requested by any guest that will make them get up and start dancing. Children are most exciting at any party. Music for the children should be added in between so that they can enjoy as well.

Wedding music can make your wedding memorable so it is important that it should be such that it is remembered by your guests for a long time to come.

Celebrate the 60th Birthday in Style

Great milestones in life should be honored and what better time than a 60th birthday party? After living sixty full years it is time to celebrate the past years that have met with obstacles, joys and creating life. Parties for a 60th birthday can be as expansive as a wedding reception or a quiet family gathering on a Sunday afternoon.

One way to highlight ones accomplishments is by a video pictorial highlight at the 60th birthday party. With scanners and digital cameras it is easy to create a photographic video or album canvassing the years from birth to last week. Get in touch with the loved ones colleagues and friends to amass the collection. Sometimes you will find that those who have been out of touch for several years have the best photos to share. As you reel through the decades on a video tour of one's life set the pictures to music of that era. If you are having trouble finding the music, several songs may be available for downloading.

Wedding Music

Diamonds are the symbol of the 60th wedding anniversary; why not incorporate this theme into the 60th birthday party. Men and women alike enjoy diamonds, and even if real diamonds cannot be purchased, faux diamonds will suit just fine. A nice broche or earrings will highlight the occasion for ladies, while cufflinks would be suitable for a male.

Celebrate the 60th Birthday in Style

All in all, there are so many ideas to help capture the beauty of a 60th birthday party. The most important piece to the puzzle is the honor and appreciation you can show a person for the impact they have made over their lifelong journey.

Wedding Montage - Suggestions for Wedding Song Videos

At one of the weddings, the couple took time out of the party to present their lovely video to their loved ones. The photographic montage started-off with the bride; there were photos of her as a baby, with her family, and they went all the way up to this day and age. The second part consisted of the none other than the groom's photos; these photos were also fun and excellent to view. The final part of the short video had photos of the couple together since the beginning of their relationship. The real point I am trying to make is that with each section of the film, came another musical number to accompany the scrolling images.

Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride and groom showed-off their love for each other in the form of a presentation?

Wedding Music

Not every couple getting married has to present a love montage at their ceremony, but it's certainly a smart idea and it definitely breaks up the time a bit more. If you were to choose to create a video, what kind of music would you use? Would you use generic songs that the video maker provided?

Wedding Montage - Suggestions for Wedding Song Videos

For the bride's section, choose a bubbly song that represents innocence and the bride's ultimate personality. Think light and airy! Such songs can be as follows:
1) Love Me Do - The Beatles
2) San Andreas Fault - Natalie Merchant
3) Firework - Katy Perry
4) Adia - Sarah McLachlan
5) Helena Beat - Foster the People

For the groom's section, choose a more serious song or perhaps something with a rock twist. Such songs can be a follows:
1) Float On - Modest Mouse
2) Can't Stop Partying - Weezer
3) Walk Like a Man - The Four Seasons
4) Crazy Life - Toad the Wet Sprocket
5) Rocket Man Me First & The Gimme Gimmes

For the relationship section, choose songs that have to do with... well, love! You can be as mushy or serious as you want in this section. I suggest picking a song together and coming up with a compromise as to what song best represents the culmination of the relationship. Such songs can be as follows:
1) Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
2) Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas
3) Silver Screen Romance - Good Charlotte
4) Welcome to Mystery - Plain White T's
5) Spinning Around Over You - Lenny Kravitz

Whatever songs are chosen for the big debut of the video montage, it will be superbly perfect. The video is supposed to represent the bride, groom, and the overall couple, right? So add personal touches to each section, and it is sure to be loved by all who view it!

If you have made a video for your wedding, share what songs you used below. We'd love to hear from you and get some feedback.

What Wedding Songs Say About You

Every newly-wed couple wants their guests to have a blast at their wedding reception, and there are so many wedding songs out there in music land to accomplish that goal. Let's get started, shall we?

1. Dancing Queen, by ABBA - You cannot have a wedding without playing this classic disco song. ABBA was really popular in the 1970s and this song speaks to the masses. "Dancing Queen" says that the bride absolutely loves the film or play "Mama Mia!" and wants to live-out their "Mama Mia!" fantasy one last time during their happy ending, dream come true wedding.

Wedding Music

2. Let's Stay Together, by Al Green - This popular love song was later sung by none other than the ever-popular Tina Turner. Listen to the words carefully, and it spells out what every couple hopes to attain throughout the duration of their relationship. This song says that the couple is madly in love, and they vow to uphold the meaning of their vows until the end of time.

What Wedding Songs Say About You

3. Head Over Feet by Alanis Morissette - Alanis had quite a hit with this song back in the 90s, but this masterpiece is absolutely timeless. A bride's words can best be described through Alanis' lyrics to her new husband. Basically, this song says that the woman got knocked-out by love and wants to tell the world!

4. Tik Tok by Ke$ha - Ke$ha may have a random dollar sign in her name and she may be completely off her rocker, but this song is a party starter and crowd pleaser! This particular song tells your guests that you are not serious all the time and that you have a childish streak that loves to escape every now and then.

5. Oh l'Amour by Erasure - Anything from the 80s says "good time" but anything by the group Erasure says "instant party." Erasure songs are classics, but the beat of this baby means that the groom misses the days when he had a hot rod and Michael Jackson's glove stowed-away in his closet. And that's not a bad thing... really!

6. Save The Last Dance For Me by The Drifters - A wedding HAS to have several songs included for slow dances and this is the perfect pick. This song says that the couple is comprised of old souls and are perfect soul mates.

7. Forever by Chris Brown - Ah, the song that started the whole "dancing down the aisle" craze! How can you not play this at your wedding?! Despite being a "trend-setting" song, it's actually quite sweet overall. This song says that the couple may really like double mint gum?! Kidding! The couple obviously really cares for each other and likes bubbly songs...

What do you think your pick for a wedding song says about you? Why?

Top 5 Groom And Mother Wedding Music Options

When it comes to choosing the best groom and mother wedding music, there are quite a few factors that you should take into consideration for it to be a memorable and special time at your wedding. The groom and his mother can choose music that has a special meaning for the both of them or it can just be a lovely sentimental song with no meanings attached. Here are the top things to look for:

1. The song that you choose must be appropriate. If you play something like "Highway to Hell" for example, this will not convey any positive or appropriate emotions and it will be very hard to dance to as well!

Wedding Music

2. The song should be a slow song. While some people enjoy boogying to dance tracks, the song that is danced between the groom and his mother will be a slower number that is more suited to both ages.

Top 5 Groom And Mother Wedding Music Options

3. It can be instrumental. As many slow songs are love songs and not very appropriate for a man to dance with his mom, you can choose an instrumental number that will still be great to dance to.

4. The best way for your groom to choose his song, is to sit down with his mother and listen to a few examples. Write down a few favorites and then decide from a list of the top 5 songs. Listen to the words, the speed and the length bearing in mind that you can cut the song, or have others join in half way through.

5. There are thousands of songs and choices and one way of getting some help is to find a website where you can listen to samples for free that are specifically used for groom and mother wedding music.
